World Cancer Day - SU2C

Saturday Feb 4th is World Cancer Day.  The Empire State Building tonight is sporting the American Cancer Society colors (for the Union for International Cancer Control - UICC).  It's a day for organizations and individuals all around the world to come together to send a message - that ending cancer should be a global priority.

I think it's safe to say we've all been somehow touched by someone with cancer.  Show your support and spread the word, take time to get screenings, and protect the skin you're in!

Here is a picture I took tonight of the Empire State Building.

"We are all affected by cancer; the disease will claim nearly eight million lives this year.  On World Cancer Day, we can unite people globally to take a stand against it through social media. Pledge to make healthy lifestyle choices that will reduce your own risk, help friends and family members do that, or support a non-profit organization involved in the fight.  Working together, we can end cancer's reign as a leading cause of death," said Stand Up To Cancer Co-Founder and ABC News Special Correspondent Katie Couric.
